Payment
If we quote a fixed price or hourly or daily rate for work, for example for designing a new web site or developing a bespoke application, part of this charge is generally payable before we start work with the remainder payable on completion of the work. We will send you an invoice in each case.
Where we make recurring charges, for example for hosting your email or web site, or for access to an online application, generally these charges are due quarterly in advance. Alternatively, we may offer you the choice to pay by monthly standing order. We will send you an invoice when charges become due.
Sometimes our work involves subcontracting a certain task, for example paying a designer or hosting partner. In this case the subcontractor's terms and conditions may determine the payment schedule but we will discuss this with you in advance.
We prefer to send invoices by email but can also provide paper copies by second class post.
All our charges are quoted excluding VAT which is charged at a rate determined by the UK government. From 1 December 2008 this is 15%, reverting to 17.5% in January 2010. If you are based outside the European Union we may be able to charge you a rate which does not include VAT.
